The textbook for secondary schools with the lowest hourly allocation for physics contains the minimum of physics knowledge. The material is divided into five chapters (Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Electricity and Magnetism, Waves and Optics, Physics of the Microworld). The explanations are very condensed and as free from mathematical formalism as possible, but it also includes examples, suggestions for experiments, summaries, and review questions. The textbook presents physics as a part of human culture and technology. To this end, there are also notes from the history of physics and five additional chapters that, while not part of the mandatory curriculum, may capture students' interest (On the Theory of Relativity, On Very Low and Very High Temperatures, On Energy, On the Blue Sky, Rainbows, and Fata Morgana, On the Universe).
