A textbook for the 2nd year of high school, developed at a high professional level, provides comprehensive information on all major aspects of animal biology. The emphasis is primarily on the modern zoological system, but it also includes knowledge from general zoology, ecology, and ethology. These sections can also be used in the 3rd year, or within the optional subject of biology exercises or in elective seminars. Because the textbook is designed quite broadly, the authors distinguish three different levels of complexity of knowledge using different types of fonts, so that students of various specializations can easily navigate the book.
