This book offers a comprehensive diagnosis of liberal democracy and examines the emergence of a new political system that is becoming the dominant political force in the contemporary world. Emerging from the crisis of liberal democracy, this system preserves some of its elements, transforms others, and introduces new ones. The concept of metapopulist democracy builds on the theory of the interregnum presented in the book The Age of Transition, while introducing new approaches that place politics in broader economic, social, and cultural contexts. It explains the political strategies that can unite a fragmented society without coherent doctrines or ideologies, and why contemporary politics is full of contradictions and logical inconsistencies. The book asks how metapopulist politics should be addressed and how emancipatory politics can be developed to move beyond the interregnum. The contents are in Czech.
