Regardless of her age, she was always wonderful, kind, and dear to the heart... despite her backpack full of shortcomings, failures, and pains. Or perhaps because of it. Eliška is exactly how we should all be. And although she was a renowned painter, family and loved ones always came first for her. Eliška's story is filled with love and the conviction that one must believe in oneself and in their dreams. It is also about the realization that pain never completely disappears; it only changes. I believe that Eliška's story will grow dear to your heart, and I hope you find some answers within it as well. I must confess: Eliška is my beloved. I think you will love her too. As soon as I finished writing the book, I began to miss her. My mother and her life inspired me to write this book, but it is not a biography at all. Although my mother also ate oranges for the first time only when she was seven years old.
