A serious relationship? Never again. After returning from vacation, I accidentally took someone else's suitcase from the airport. Inside, I found expensive men's shoes and designer clothes. I called the number on the tag hoping Mr. Pracháč would have my luggage in return. And indeed, the owner of the deep, velvety voice arranged a meeting with me to swap our suitcases. It turned out that Donovan had not only a captivating voice. He was not bad-looking at all. There was an instant spark between us. An invitation for coffee led to dinner, dinner to dessert, and dessert to a weekend together. Donovan was fun, sharp, and surprisingly humble for a guy who wore seven-hundred-dollar shoes. Did I mention he washed my clothes while I slept? He was just too good of a guy for there not to be a catch. And how did I repay his kindness? I waited until he closed himself in the bathroom and took off. Simply put, I couldn't drag such a great man into my complicated life. Still, I often thought about him. However, in eight-million-person New York, the chance of running into him by accident was minimal. And yet, after a year, I ran into him. Only by that time, I was already dating his boss.
