The employment relationship was terminated with immediate effect - for inappropriate behavior. I couldn't believe my eyes. Nine years! Nine damned years I toiled at one of the largest American companies, and after returning from vacation, they sent me my termination notice. All because of one beach video with my friends. I should point out it was a private video filmed during my personal time. Not everyone saw it the same way. Infuriated, I opened a bottle of wine and wrote a heartfelt letter to the CEO, that millionaire, expressing what I thought of him and the company's practices. I didn't expect him to reply. And I certainly didn't expect to start regularly corresponding with the wealthy gentleman. In the end, he acknowledged that I had been wronged and ensured that I got my job back. But that wasn't the only thing Grant Lexington wanted to help me with. I had no intention of getting involved with my boss's boss, even though he looked incredibly good and was dangerously confident and charming. It wouldn't be appropriate. It would be downright improper! Almost like the video that got me into this mess. Well, two mistakes don't cancel each other out, but sometimes it can lead to twice the fun.
