Greg Heffley and his quirky family set off on a big trip. They decided to escape to a hotel on a tropical island before winter and the pre-Christmas rush, to enjoy some well-deserved rest and relaxation. A few days in paradise should work wonders for the stressed-out Heffleys. However, the family soon discovers that "paradise on earth" is actually different from the advertisements. Sunburn and upset stomachs are a threat, and poisonous creatures lurk everywhere. Can the vacation still turn out well despite everything, or will it end in disaster?
