Tessa is a well-mannered girl who is dating a nice, reliable boy. She has a clear goal in life, ambitions, and a mother who oversees that it stays that way. However, on her very first day at college dorms, she runs into Hardin, a guy with messy brown hair, a confident British accent, and a piercing in his lip, who shatters all her ideals. Hardin is rude – even to the point of cruelty. Given his behavior, Tessa should hate him. And she does, until she finds herself alone with him in his room. One kiss is all it takes.
