The little sprite Lesánek lives in an old pine tree in the Pine Cone Forest and takes care of his garden. His neighbor and best friend is the fairy Sasanka. They have a whole range of animal friends with whom they explore what interesting things happen in nature during spring, summer, autumn, and winter, and how people explain them. The friends always learn something new together and have a lot of fun doing it.
The book is intended for preschool children and first graders. They will find stories told in comic form, complemented by fun tasks and puzzles. The tasks are chosen to help girls and boys practice some of the skills they should master before starting 1st grade. These include simple counting, recognizing colors, shapes, and sizes, logical thinking, and developing the ability to concentrate.
