The anthology "Duchomorna" brings more than thirty spooky stories from 19th-century Czech literature.

The first part of the book focuses on black magic, while the second explores various demons: devils, water sprites, forest nymphs, ghosts, revenants including vampires, werewolves, the noon witch, and demonic animals. The texts are selected to present a wide spectrum of authors, from the well-known to the completely forgotten, and to showcase various forms of stories: from fairy tales to legends and short stories, to ethnographic studies, ranging from pure horror to whimsically or darkly humorous texts. Author profiles and general interpretations related to the book's theme are also included.
