Unlike the previous novelistic portrayal of Morávek's confession, this book focuses primarily on the investigations, research, and reconstructions surrounding that enormous, literally breathtaking story. Many questions and mysteries, even myths that still persist, are addressed in a very engaging, at times gripping manner. However, the author did not intend to rely solely on archival sources. He chose a combination of precise historical sources connected with the practical side of things. Many aspects, not only regarding the legendary escapes of Morávek, his weapons, and shooting, were things that former police lieutenant colonel and international instructor Pavel Černý intended to try – literally – on his own skin.
