A psychological thriller about a powerful family trying to prevent their darkest secrets from coming to light. Harvard librarian Hester Thursby attends a gala evening at the university's new impressive student center when she, along with Detective Angela White, is called to the home of the school's owners, Tucker and Jennifer Matson. The woman claims that someone has broken into their remote estate. However, Hester and Angela are not very convinced by her version of events. Later, when Hester is asked to help search for missing graduates, her investigation leads her to uncover family secrets and suspicious activities. Financial scandals, a long-ago tragedy, and infidelity suggest that the Matsons likely have something to hide. And after the body of one of the missing persons is found, everything suddenly takes a much more terrifying turn.
