The book is a tribute to Professor Hana Librová on the occasion of her 80th birthday. The authors of the individual chapters are her colleagues from the Department of Environmental Studies and other affiliated institutions, as well as her friends from the ecological movement. Each co-author attempted to connect with Hana Librová's work – some engaged in direct polemical discussion, while others took it as an opportunity to reflect on themes they have long been concerned with. All authors shared the desire to try to imitate Hana Librová's style in such a way that the resulting texts would be accessible in their language to readers outside the academic community, without sacrificing scientific rigor. Readers can look forward to 9 individual studies that thematically relate to various aspects of the honoree's work. Some chapters turn attention to themes from her older, culturally-historically oriented texts focused on landscape. Others draw from her rich reservoir of journalistic articles. And some continue research on lifestyle topics or expand the perspective to include systemic, especially economic and political, dimensions.
