The book presents previously unpublished manuscripts of memoirs – the autobiography of Karel Engliš (1880 Hrabyně – 1961 Hrabyně). It is published as the 4th volume of the Masaryk University editorial series "The Works of Karel Engliš" in the edition "Tribute to Personalities" in 2022 in collaboration with the Masaryk Institute and the Archive of the Czech Academy of Sciences. The book is a valuable source of information and documentation for historians, economists, philosophers, and other researchers, offering Engliš's original perspective on his academic, political, and scientific activities. It allows us to glimpse the topics Engliš was concerned with at the time, what he deemed necessary to comment on and record. It provides the reader with the opportunity to recognize Engliš's keen observational talent and extraordinary memory. S...
