Beschreibung
This Czech-language historical novel follows Tadeáš of Příhrazy, who is summoned by King Wenceslaus II to appear at the castle in Sadská. He sets out with his servant Vítek, while the castle garrison commander Jozífek remains on the estate to protect it from marauding bandits. On arriving in Sadská, Tadeáš is ordered by the ruler to investigate the disappearance of a young nobleman who has vanished without a trace. What initially seems like an easy case soon becomes complicated. Nothing and no one is what they seem, and long-buried family secrets begin to emerge.
