Beschreibung
Tadeáš from Příhraz sets off to Nymburk to attend a celebration in honor of Saint Hubert. An unexpected journey soon gives rise to an investigation when he is asked by the local priest to prove the innocence of his friend Hostivít from Hořátve. Hostivít, convicted of numerous heinous crimes, is awaiting execution. Initially, Tadeáš refuses to waste time on a seemingly lost case, but this changes when he is attacked by an unknown assailant. Soon, he also learns that Hostivít has managed to escape from prison. For the experienced investigator, a race against time begins...
