In the spring of 1871, Lizzie Martin Ross accompanies her esteemed aunt Parry on a restorative trip to the southern coast of England. Lizzie's husband Ben must stay in the city due to an investigation at Scotland Yard, so he urges his wife to take care of herself and not get involved in anything.
