Captain Kurt Taller of a German submarine, setting out with wolf packs into the merciless Atlantic to sink ships of Allied convoys, with hundreds and thousands of people, often innocent civilians, finding death at the bottom of the sea, and Captain Harry Holm of a British warship, who on the contrary protects these convoys. What ultimately brings these three men together, when they are enemies to each other and yet their lives depend on one another? Is it just an intelligence game with death, played between German and British secret services? A novel about the fact that even the victors of wars are simultaneously the defeated.
