The year is 1834. Sebastian de Braie is leaving for Italy to find the kidnapped ward Olivia. Although he never liked her, he intends to secure her future. However, he refuses to bring her back to France, where his eldest son Christian is waiting for her impatiently. Additionally, Sebastian's past catches up with him in Italy.
