Beschreibung

As self-aware thinking beings, we face the immense problem of our finiteness. Emerging from the nothingness of existence, living, and sinking once more into an undefinable nothingness form a human stigma that runs through our entire existence. Perhaps this reality has driven us since time immemorial to search for the laws governing the meaning of our being. Our efforts to discover how everything began, how it works, and for what purpose it was created have unfortunately not been crowned with the success of knowledge. We struggle to imagine something eternal that may nevertheless have had a beginning. Did everything originate from a singularity, a proto-particle, created out of nothing? From a physical perspective, must nothing instead be understood as a vacuum filled with the countless formations and disappearances of particles and fields, a kind of quantum foam? Or are there oscillating universes, or computer-generated cosmoses whose enormous complexity makes them difficult to interpret? Or are all mathematical expressions descriptions of different types of relationships and universes? The reflections also address the much-discussed end of everything: life and the consciousness connected with it, as well as the entire universe and perhaps even the multiverse. In these twenty-seven stories, the author seeks answers to questions about the origins of our universe or megaverses, the complexity of existence, and the destruction of everything, while hoping that life was, is, and will continue to be worth living. The book is in Czech.
