Přemysl Bičovský is a prominent figure in the history of our football. Just recall what he achieved. ***** Although he spent most of his career as a midfielder or defender, he became a member of the League's Scorers Club, having scored 130 goals in the top league – 106 in Czechoslovakia and 24 in Austria. When he joined the company of the best scorers, he was the first to do so despite not being a forward. ***** He made his league debut for Teplice in September 1967 at the age of seventeen and finished in June 1983 at Bohemians, where he led the team as captain to their only title. He then moved to Austria, where he played his last match in the top league in the spring of 1988 at nearly thirty-eight years old. In every team, he was a key player. He almost never disappointed, and he had great authority among his teammates, serving as a role model for many. He became a European champion twice, first in the under-18 category and then in the under-23 category. Only an injury deprived him of a third title in Belgrade in 1976. Although he significantly contributed to qualifying through England and Portugal, he did not go to the final tournament.
