Modern political science developed in the 19th century, when emphasis was placed on the study of political systems. It is a modern political science with a shift from formalism to empirical approaches. In the author's view, it is also a kind of intersection in the civilizational process and a residual, analytical and synthetic science, as well as a superstructure of other social sciences. Václav Ryneš's approach is also an attempt at methodology in the field of geopolitics, the history of human civilization, and anthropology, and an effort for a comprehensive political science conception that evaluates the civilizational and local environment of various social and state legal systems and their developmental trends. The conception is based more on a norm-setting, but also on a value perspective and on the evaluation of real civilizational phenomena (of geopolitical, social, and anthropological significance). This is also reflected in the perspective on civilizational processes of global, local, and partial significance. The publication "From the History of Humanity in the Cosmos" follows the author's previous book "Cosmos, Civilization, and Christianity" and approaches, from the perspective of human beings and society, the factor of humanity and human creative power in the cosmos. The purpose of the publication is not to convince or instruct, but to stimulate thoughts on where humanity may lead or arrive.
