Beschreibung
Václav Jelínek (1905–1967), who signed his novels as Sláva V. Jelínek and during the Nazi occupation, when he "joined the Germans" under the name Willibald Yöring, was a phenomenon of Czech pulp literature from the 1920s to the 1940s. He was incredibly prolific: during his writing career, he published over a hundred "works," the content of which ranged from romantic novels to adventures of all kinds. Revived corpses, impregnating women with semen from hanged men, rats eating people... A considerable dose of perversion "made Jelínek famous" to the extent that his books are now valuable collector's items – precisely for their incredible stupidity and decadence. During the occupation, Jelínek reported his fellow citizens, and after the war, he was sentenced to several years in prison for it. While in custody, he wrote some sort of defense, which, however, could only be as absurd as his "famous" works.
