Being the true Daughter of her Goddess is supposed to be my very essence. Yet I am different, which in the language of my people means weak. I would give my life for my sisters, and soon I will have the chance, because the Trojdaří is approaching: a ceremony in which we offer ourselves to our Gods as sacrifices to the Darkness guarding our borders. Our enemy clans offer themselves to their Gods in the same way. Three clans, three sacrifices. So the law decrees. According to legend, this is the only way our Gods can protect us from the evil lurking beyond the borders. But what if everything is completely different? What if what we believe is merely a lie passed down through the ages, along with the hatred instilled in us towards the other clans? Perhaps I am not different. Perhaps I am simply not... whole. I do not know. There is, however, a prophecy that will soon reveal the whole truth to me. The contents are in Czech.
