In this Czech-language children’s book, fox Archibald is preparing for the autumn festival when Mayor Kráskorek tells him one morning that his family is not the lawful owner of the bookshop. He orders it to be cleared immediately for the mysterious wolf Celestýn, who has just arrived in town. With the help of his father and his mischievous young nephew Bartoloměj, Archibald follows the trail of five mysterious notebooks hidden by his grandfather, the fox Kornelius. He hopes to uncover the truth and prove that he is the bookshop’s rightful owner. Finding the notebooks will not be easy, however. Before losing his mind, Kornelius entrusted them to the members of a secret society known as the Literary Brotherhood, who seem determined to ensure that the Fox family proves worthy of their ancestor’s legacy.
