Fifteen years have passed since the war with the demons. The creatures of darkness that plagued humanity for years and hunted the unfortunate like animals at night have lost their power. The heroes have become legends, while those who follow them struggle in vain to escape their shadow. Oliva Papírová and Darin Sedlák are growing up in a new, much more peaceful world. The demons have almost been wiped out, but various dangers still await the children of heroes. Oliva is the princess of the Hollow and must obey her mother, Duchess Leesha Papírová, who is preparing her step by step to succeed her one day. The more stubbornly her mother dictates what she must become, however, the more Oliva rebels and tries to follow her own path. Darin faces different difficulties. Although he has far more freedom, he feels the burden of his father’s legacy. Being the son of the man who saved the whole world is not easy. Everyone expects great things from him, but all he knows how to do is run and hide. When Oliva and Darin venture beyond the great wards one day, they discover that the demons have not disappeared from the world and are thirsting for revenge. Together, they set off a chain of events whose conclusion only the seers will witness, and both must determine where they belong. The world may soon need saving once again.
