Nikdo nic neviděl – Mara Andrea (2025)

Sive stands on a crowded subway platform in London. When the train arrives, her two little girls, one six years old and the other two, jump into the carriage ahead of her. Because Sive is looking at her phone to see who is calling, she doesn't manage to get on behind them, and the doors close. The train departs, leaving Sive standing on the platform.

Before she reaches the next stop, she convinces herself that everything will be fine. However, she soon begins to panic because only one child is waiting for her on the platform, not two. Has her second daughter gone missing? Has some unknown passerby abducted her? Or is the culprit closer than she thinks? No one is telling the truth; everyone is lying, and the longer the search takes, the harder it will be to find her daughter...

The book is inspired by an experience from the author's own life. When she was twelve years old, she was left behind in a departing subway train with one of her three sisters while her parents and the other two sisters remained on the platform.
