Beschreibung
When a small public library suddenly appears in the park of the town of Martinville, guarded by a large ginger cat, eleven-year-old Evan takes two books from the shelf, unaware that it will change his life forever.
Together with his friend Raf, they quickly discover that one of the borrowed books is connected to an event from long ago that none of the adults want to talk about. Their journey to the key to the mystery turns not only their lives upside down but the entire town as well.
The story is told alternately from different perspectives (Evan, the cat Mortimer, the ghost of the librarian Pom) and is filled with tension, twists, and a gentle blending of the real with the supernatural.
