Student Lin Chu-sheng, against her parents' wishes, interrupts her studies at university and runs away from home to pursue her dreams. She plans to find some easy job, but ends up working at a funeral service. However, on her very first day at work, she experiences a shock – it is something completely different than she originally expected. Her pride, however, does not allow her to quit, and she soon realizes that the problems in her life that she struggles with are insignificant compared to the finality of death. ***** Relationships, especially those with one's own family, are among the trickiest matters. The concert of farewell attempts to describe such relationships realistically: a man, who faces high expectations from his father, lives and ultimately dies alone; an incurably ill child, who postpones their departure from this world due to their mother's wishes; a struggle for inheritance among members of a large family... ***** How should we spend the last stage of our lives?
