When jewelry designer Sara Mattsson cuts herself on an archaeological dig on the blade of a Viking knife, she suddenly finds herself in the ninth century. However, she quickly comes to terms with this, as time travel is no novelty for her. When she loses the magical knife – and thus her only chance to get back home – she is well aware of the dangers that await her, but she also sees it as a life opportunity. Where else could she find inspiration for her own creations from real Viking and Anglo-Saxon jewelry than among actual Vikings? Unfortunately, the first person Sara encounters in the past is none other than Rurik Eskilsson, a silversmith who also has experience with time travel. He agrees to let Sara accompany him to Jorvik, and together they embark on a journey that is even more dangerous. However, fate had a good reason to bring these two souls together...
