A romantic comedy featuring musicians in kilts, Renaissance maidens, and an unexpected love plot that will make you laugh out loud. Stacey is overjoyed when her two friends Simon and Emily get engaged. She knows well that she has gotten a bit stuck in her life by staying in her hometown of Willow Creek to take care of her sick mother. However, many years have passed since then, and although Stacey loves the summers spent serving in the tavern and flirting with visitors at the local Renaissance festivals, she wants a bit more from life. Stacey promises herself that by next summer, she will get her life in order. Maybe she will even find the one. When thinking about the one, it would never occur to her that it could be her annual summer fling, Dex MacLean. Even though she could hardly take her eyes off him during his performances with his band, the Clash of the Kilts, she never felt anything serious for him. So when she receives a sweet email from him, she is unsure of what to do next. The following year, the festival returns to Willow Creek, and Stacey is set to meet face to face with the man with whom she has exchanged hundreds of romantic messages over the past nine months. To her dismay, however, it is not Dex – she has actually fallen for a man she hardly knows.
