The second part of the Secret Operations series focuses on hacker Brigid Banaghan, who got caught while hacking into a government computer and is now working under duress for a secret federal unit, alongside her handler, the mysterious and sexy Raider Tanaka. Together, they must infiltrate the Irish mafia and prevent, among other things, human trafficking. They are aided by the rest of the team, as we know from the previous book Undercover, including the German Shepherd Roscoe, who loves high heels, makeup, and Jack Daniel's, and the rescued kitten Kota, as well as investigative reporter Dana Mullberry, the girlfriend of another team member, Agent Wolfe.
The situation is complicated by the fact that one of the suspects is Brigid's father, Sean Banaghan, a former member of Coonan's gang. To clear his name, Brigid needs Raider's help, but she must keep a secret from the team and especially from Raider, the revelation of which could mean the end of their collaboration.
