We broke through the gates of the Forge and escaped the underground horrors, but we found that the whole world had become a prison and Alfred Furnace its master. His army of monsters, soldiers in black, and rats rampage through the streets, leaving only streams of blood and madness in their wake. Those who do not die are transformed and become slaves to Furnace's cruel reign. A war rages, after which no further wars will come. A war after which only ruins will remain on the planet. ***** I am a monster too. I am one of Furnace's children. In fact, I am more than that. I am to become his new right hand. His new general. I am also the only one who can stop him. ***** I must find a way to use my abilities to destroy him. Yet, in doing so, I risk becoming the very force that will doom us all. I do not know if I am a condemned man or an executioner. I have no idea who will die: me, Furnace, or all of humanity. I only know that today, one way or another, it will all end.
