Vampires do not exist. Everyone knows that. So it is quite unpleasant when they suddenly start appearing all over Manchester... No one is happy about it. Not the Founders, the secret organization that vampires were originally meant to represent as an allegory, nor the Tribe, people endowed with magical abilities who just want to live their lives in peace. And certainly not the residents of Manchester, because the murderous rampage of such an allegory unleashed is really nothing pleasant. Someone needs to intervene very quickly – and who better to do it than the editorial team of Strange Times! Not that they don't have enough worries of their own. Editor Hana has just returned from her divorce proceedings and immediately learns that someone is trying to kidnap a certain member of their team. Editor-in-chief Vincent Banecroft would like to say goodbye to some members of his crew, but he cannot bear the thought of someone trying to rob him – it's a matter of principle. When we add to this the precarious situation with a non-functional bathroom, gambling debts, a completely new way of using vulgarities, and a certain inspector, we get another hectic week in the life of a newspaper editorial team committed to reporting the truth that no one else wants to have anything to do with.
