In our world (and especially in Manchester), dark forces are at play, and so we should be grateful for the weekly magazine Strange Times, which brings us regular reports about them. Strange Times focuses on mysterious and amazing (but much more on the mysterious) things in modern life; it is the most accessible weekly on everything unexplained and unexplainable. ***** Or at least that's how it presents itself. The reality looks a bit different. The publisher is a human wreck, a grumpy, vulgar drunk who doesn't even believe in the qualities (and certainly not the content) of his own periodical, and the editorial team consists of a mismatched group of lost souls with a number of their own secrets and prejudices. And as for the position of editor-in-chief... it resembles revolving doors that have just turned again, and out stumbles Hannah Willis with her own load of problems. ***** And when a tragedy occurs in the very first week of her new job, the editorial team of Strange Times has no choice but to embark on real, serious investigative journalism.
