Money is tight, and their new home needs renovation. It is located far in the countryside of southwest England, and at the end of its garden lies an ancient forest. Tom and his family are miles away from anyone they know. His wife Fiona has never been convinced that buying a house at auction, which will swallow a lot of money, was a good idea. Not only because the previous owner committed suicide in it. And no one can explain why. Hardly have they crossed the threshold when, within a few days, hostile exchanges begin with an older couple from the neighboring house. Tom's dreams of future happiness begin to fade due to escalating disputes. Tom becomes increasingly isolated and tormented, risking the loss of his home, his loved ones, and his sanity. Because after all, a madman might think that the oddities on the other side of the hedge have supernatural abilities.
