Jess finds herself in a complicated situation. She is broke, has lost her job, and needs to disappear for a while. When she calls her stepbrother Ben and asks if she can stay with him for some time, he is not very enthusiastic, but eventually agrees. Surely, she will be better off in his luxurious apartment in Paris. However, upon arrival, she discovers that her brother has vanished. And that the house is inhabited by strange people. People who have their secrets and who are trying to drive her out. Jess does not give up, but she cannot find out anything about her brother, and instead of answers, she only has more and more questions. The tension in the house escalates. Why do the neighbors behave so oddly? What are they hiding from her? And is Ben even still alive? A high-society lady and her despotic husband. An alcoholic whose wife has left him.
