A budding wanderer sets out on a journey of over two thousand kilometers to fulfill one of her many dreams – this time she wants to walk to Asia. Twenty-one-year-old Nicolette Havlová departs from her hometown of Havířov with just six kilos on her back. She travels through Slovakia, Hungary, and Romania, visiting the Czech community in Banat, for which she organizes a public charity collection in collaboration with the non-profit organization People in Need. She continues through Serbia, Bulgaria, and finally reaches the gates of the Orient – Istanbul, Turkey. What is it like to be alone in the mountains, to deal with attacks from shepherd dogs, to (not) get married at the Romanian-Serbian border, to walk to the sea, or to cover the last hundreds of kilometers with a stray puppy? What life situations sent the young traveler on this challenging adventure?
