The famous assertion that 'God is dead' comes from this, perhaps the most famous book of the German philosopher and poet Friedrich Nietzsche. In the form of a philosophical poem, the author tells the story of the Persian prophet Zarathustra, who descends from the mountains and returns to the people to present his theories and thoughts in his speeches and reflections, sharing his wisdom with them.
