When Guy finds his mother's inheritance documents for a house in the attic, he feels like he has encountered incredible luck. Sure, no one has lived in the house for forty years, it is partially dilapidated and overgrown with vines, but Guy is convinced that he can fix it up and sell it profitably. He would be crazy not to try. Especially since his current life stage is not exactly enviable. The Rookward house stands alone in the woods and has no phone signal. However, it is three hours' drive from the city where Guy lives, so he decides to camp in the house for a few days. But there is a reason why no one has lived in Rookward for so long, and the dilapidated rooms are not as empty as they seem... A terrible tragedy occurred in the house forty years ago, the consequences of which still linger today. The spirit of the woman who caused the tragedy has settled here. She is bitter, obsessed, jealous, and deranged, and as soon as Guy appears, she has no intention of letting him leave and will do the impossible to keep him with her.
