The famous story of boyhood friends with the main character Tom Sawyer has been known to generations of young readers. Little Tom, living with Aunt Polly, gets into one mischief after another with his inseparable buddy Huckleberry Finn. Aunt Polly is strict with Tom, but that doesn't deter him from his antics. One day, however, Tom gets caught up in an adventure that becomes increasingly dangerous. Together with his friends, he witnesses a crime in the local graveyard and is afraid to report it, as they fear the criminal, the notorious Joe Indian. But then a trial is held, and an innocent person is to be tried for the murder at the graveyard. Tom decides to testify in court and tell the truth about what really happened... The wild adventures of Tom, Huck, and Tom's childhood love Becky Thatcher are also known from various film adaptations.
