It's the year 1894, and all of London is talking about the death of a Transylvanian nobleman, who was killed by a certain Professor Van Helsing. Mycroft Holmes is not satisfied when the British courts acquit the professor of all charges, and he asks his brother Sherlock to investigate what really led to the death of Lucy Westenra and the mysterious aristocrat. Newspaper articles contradict each other and are full of wild supernatural theories. As Sherlock delves deeper into the case, he comes to suspect that those whom the public celebrates as heroes are not what they seem. Clues suggest that an innocent man was wrongfully vilified and executed for crimes he did not commit. Holmes and Watson face enemies at every turn, as what began as an effort to clear one man's name leads them to uncover a conspiracy that ultimately drags them into the Transylvanian mountains and the infamous Dracula's castle.
