This volume contains three novels by Jane Austen, written at different periods, two of them unfinished. They portray the difficult lives of female protagonists in eighteenth- and nineteenth-century England, although Sanditon somewhat departs from this setting. As in her other works, Austen offers detailed descriptions of characters and surroundings, along with a rich variety of figures. These writings differ from her earlier prose in their view of the world, particularly Lady Susan, which shows that she did not see it through rose-coloured glasses. Sanditon is her final work, while The Watsons is the only one preserved in manuscript. The contents are in Czech.
