Jack McEvoy was once a journalistic star, but he is laid off due to redundancy. The main character will be Alonzo Winslow, a sixteen-year-old drug dealer who confessed to the brutal murder of a woman. Jack intends to write about the bleak environment, dysfunctional families, and the absence of emotion that turned one teenager into a murderer. However, the more Jack gets entangled in the case, the more convinced he becomes that Alonzo's confession is false. That kid is probably innocent...
