There, she grows up with Sir Thomas Bertram and his two daughters and son Edmund. As she slowly matures, she begins to attract the attention of a charming, well-off young man from a good family. Although her heart pulls her in another direction, Sir Thomas, whose wealth is based on the suffering of black slaves, advises her to marry Henry Crawford. Will she follow his advice, or will her life take a completely different turn?
