Květy Země – Míček Tomáš (2021)

A series of books by photographer Tomáš Míček, including Magical Places of the Earth, Trees of the Earth, and Stones of the Earth, which celebrate the fascinating beauty of nature in all its might, as well as its delicate fragility, is complemented by another lavish publication, Flowers of the Earth. With his outstanding photographic technique, the author shows us the charm of simple flowers, such as the small yellow-orange alpine poppies in the Italian Dolomites, but also the almost unreal gigantic exotic blooms that are a manifestation of nature's remarkable power. Tomáš Míček traveled across all continents while working on the book; for example, in Sumatra, he portrayed the Rafflesia arnoldii plant, whose flower has the largest diameter in the plant kingdom (up to one meter), in the Galapagos he captured the endemic tree-like prickly pear, and in the Sonoran Desert in southern Arizona and Mexico, he photographed the tallest cactus in the world, the saguaro, which stands over 23 meters tall...
