Researcher Věnceslav Brábek described an expedition to the Late Cretaceous period about 70 million years ago in the first diary found in a mysterious box in the basement of the National Museum. He survived the journey into the past using a time centrifuge and his adventurous encounters with dinosaurs, and he decided to continue exploring the evolution of life on our planet. Věnceslav is simply an adventurer at heart and soul. He even persuaded Aurélie to join him on the journey, to whom he sent letters from the Mesozoic in the first part. The diaries from the box document the expedition to the Silurian period in the Paleozoic era. They faced a landscape full of rocks, a climate with terrifying storms, dangerously high tides, and a turbulent sea. They had a simple submarine and a diving suit at their disposal, and their daily task was to observe the incredible world of prehistoric creatures underwater and collect what the sea washed ashore. Brábek meticulously recorded everything, drew, and photographed, as the collection boxes filled with rare treasures, and the days brought experiences that were often a fight for survival... And the two diaries, from researcher Věnceslav and the fragile yet brave Aurélie, who often amuse us with different perspectives on their shared adventures and allow us to empathize better with either character, transport us to the Silurian...
