Kdo se ztratil v Laponsku – Hejkalová Markéta (2025)

In a land where you can encounter reindeer and wolverines, one can still believe in magic. Eliška has a dad, a mom, and a lot of stuffed animals. Dad is a journalist and travels the world constantly. Mom is a veterinarian and recently decided to spend a year in Lapland treating reindeer, wolverines, and other northern animals. So Eliška is left with her stuffed animals. Especially the oldest one — Myšák. He is quite worn out because Eliška has had him since birth. But we forgive him for that because Myšák can do something that other stuffed animals cannot — he can talk. And sometimes even give advice. His advice may be a bit silly, but when there’s no one else around, Myšák’s quirks can be quite helpful.

Eliška gets silly ideas even without Myšák. She came up with one such idea at the beginning of December when she missed her mom so much that she couldn’t stand it anymore. And desperate times call for desperate measures. Eliška finds herself in Lapland, all the way up in northern Finland, where in winter the sun never rises above the horizon and the magical darkness is illuminated only by stars and snow. But try finding your lost mom in this northern darkness.
