How Can You Live When You Are Running from Your Dead?
In the holiday home of the Dutch Helder family, set in the Occitan landscape of Aubrac in southern France, family and friends gather after the premature death of writer Thomas. Margaux Chenet, a renowned French architect and Thomas's close friend, also appears, having severed all ties with the Helders years ago.
The house, nestled in the midst of a beautiful snowy landscape, is full of distant memories between Aubrac and Amsterdam: that’s where they all grew up, where they loved, and sometimes where they lied to each other. Margaux becomes the focal point of all conversations, chatting with everyone, especially with Jorge, the deceased's older brother. However, the extraordinary and sincere conversation that develops between them confronts her with the ghosts of the past.
