Meda loves music. She wants to play the piano, but there isn't enough money in the family budget for that. Meda's best friend is moving away, her classmates are treating her badly, and her mom has found a new boyfriend...

In such a challenging moment, she discovers an old villa in an overgrown garden, where someone is playing the piano. Despite all the well-meaning advice, she goes in and meets Mr. Leonard, who changes her life in many ways. He is not a magical grandpa; rather, he is a rather grumpy uncle. But Meda wants to play at all costs, so she tries — she learns Brahms' lullaby on the flute, which runs like a red thread throughout the story. And she learns much more about music — Leonard introduces her to musical instruments and genres and immerses her in classical, folk, and modern music. Meda can listen to both Beethoven and Bowie. But whether she is listening to or playing anything in the villa, it always leads Meda on a magical journey into new worlds. However, getting into the villa is not easy, and Meda must face many obstacles. Her overly caring mom is the least of them.
